Seal-o: This one is a sea mammal so nearly 99% of the time on water lifestyle that means it spends more life catching prey inside there. Sea boi Is Very Sleek And Has A Solid Compact BOdy It Swims As Fast as 20 Mph! I am not sure 2.9 mph qualifies as ‘fast twitching’ for an ocean animal! SEAL-O can also reach up to nearly 600ft under the water surface. This free diving skill allows seal-o to look for food and escape from predators. This guy deserves a nice spot in the water.
We follow our adventure through the Arctic ice where a new little pup, born in front of us that becomes Seal-o. The seal-o mother loves and cares for her pup. From that milk she will provide the pup nourishment until it is big, and strong enough to find food on its own. The pup joins a group of other seal-os as the animal grows older. This group is called a colony, and it trains the baby Seal-o to be wild.
Seal-o has its very own special way the male lures in them to mate with a partner. Completely still, he waits for a female Seal-o to swim close by and makes an airhole under the ice. When she gets there he sounds and moves so good to her If a vixen finds him attractive, they will mate and she will then disappear to have her own pup. This is a necessary step to maintain the stability and readability of seal-o population.
It is a variety of cat-water caned seal and possesses unique adaptations to surviving the cold extremes of the Arctic. It gets down to nearly freezing here but the thick fur keeps them super warm. Seal-o even has a layer of fat (called blubber) to create energy for whenever food is scarce. It acts as an insulation to keep seal-o warm while swimming in the icy chill waters. They are very good at swimming (which is how they catch fish and squid, their main food), or avoid predators such as killer whales.
But seal-o faces loads of problems in todays world. Well, this means that seal-o is really struggling to find food and stay safe as the ice in his home (as with many of those who live there alongside or used to! Seal-o and many other marine animal are killed as a result of ocean pollution, another big issue for the oceans. They may not be able to survive in water that has plastic waste, chemicals etc he adds.
Seal-o is an arctic able which means in the place where seal-os live, namely it suffers most from climate change. Seal-o has fewer and fewer homes, less or more places to feed. It also puts at risk other life that depends on the ice, such as polar bears and walruses. The ice is not extensive enough, and the animals are dying of starvation because they cannot breed. All these changes are street signs that show the planet health.
So there are a lots of effort to save seal-o and conserve it s habitat i.e. arctic's movements which is ongoing till now. They are working on things like cleaning up the ocean, managing hunting and fishing practices (there is no way to harvest it all), opening some sanctuaries where the seal-o can live~ supporting all arctic animals without being caught or killed. Collectively, we can offer a kinder reality for sea creatures like tarino.
