Mining Türkiye 2026 — also known as Maden Turkey — is the 12th edition of the International Mining, Tunneling, Machinery Equipment and Heavy Duty Vehicles Fair. It runs April 8 to 11 at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul. Organised by Tüyap Fairs in cooperation with the Turkish Mining Development Foundation (YMGV), the show expects more than 750 exhibitors and over 25,000 industry professionals — making it the most comprehensive mining industry exhibition held in the Eurasian region.

A Growing Domestic Market

Turkey's mining equipment market was valued at roughly $81 million in 2025 and is forecast to grow at 6.6% annually through 2030. That trajectory is driven by several overlapping forces. Gold production — which barely existed twenty-five years ago — is now substantial, with major operations like Çöpler and Kisladag processing multi-million-tonne ore bodies. Government policy has actively incentivised large-scale mining, extended credit facilities to coal projects, and created conditions that domestic construction conglomerates have used to build substantial mining portfolios alongside their infrastructure businesses.

The rare earth element discovery near Eskisehir adds another dimension. With an estimated ore body ranking among the largest globally and containing materials essential for EV motors, wind turbines, and electronics, this deposit is drawing international attention at a moment when Western supply chain policy prioritises diversification away from China. Exploration activity is increasing, which means equipment demand at the earlier stages of the mining cycle — drilling rigs, survey tools, sample preparation equipment — is rising alongside production-phase machinery.

Istanbul as an Exhibition Base

Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center sits in Büyükçekmece on the western edge of Istanbul, approximately 35 kilometres from the city centre. It's one of Turkey's largest exhibition venues, with the infrastructure to handle the heavy machinery and large display requirements that a mining equipment show demands. Istanbul's geographic position — genuinely between Europe, the Middle East, Russia, and Central Asia — gives Mining Türkiye a regional catchment that few shows can match. Chinese manufacturers have grown their presence significantly in recent years.
